Canaves Hotel and Suites offers outstanding accommodation and attention to detail…
Canaves Hotel and Suites Santorini is located high on a cliff top at Oia on the north western tip of the Santorini, with spectacular views of the bay and the surrounding islands. You are literally just minutes walk from the upscale boutiques and dining options of Oia Village, one of the most photographed in the entire Mediterranean. The hotel and suites are divided into two sections by the blue-domed Cathedral of Oia. The airport and the port are 20 minutes drive, the lively capital of Thira (Fira in Greek) 15 minutes.
A total of 39 suites split between the two sides of the total resort. They are original 17th century Canaves houses, carved into the rock and originally intended to store the superb wine associated with the island. They have now been transformed into luxury accommodation, with the fines highly individual touches. All rooms face out to the caldera, the volcano and the Aegean Sea. Within the original hotel the accommodation furnishing tends to be more traditional with many antiques, in the newer suite section it is generally more contemporary with flashes of colour.
Within the hotel you have Classic suites which are the entry level in terms of pricing with extended living area within the bedroom, the larger Junior suites which have either open plan bedroom or separate living area, superior suites which have a similar design but with hydro bathtub, honeymoon suites with either private Jacuzzi or plunge pool, and a Grand Suite with two bedrooms and either Jacuzzi or plunge pool.
In the exclusive suite section of the resort you have a selection of Junior suites with either open plan bedroom of separate living room, Superior Suites some of which have loft bedrooms, honeymoon suites with either Jacuzzi or plunge pool, infinity pool suites and a speciality Canaves two bedroom suite.
In addition you have a further selection of majestic 3 bedroom villa, perched at the very top of the cliff with incredible views.
Particularly suggested in combination with your stay would be a catamaran tour as Santorini is just mind blowing from the sea as you view small whitewashed villages literally clinging onto the rock-face, a real experience.
Swimming pool
Restaurants open for breakfast and lunch
Separate restaurant at Canaves Suites for dinner
Wine cellar with impressive collection of both local and international wine
From most of the accommodation you have numerous steps linking the main facilities, however with the Suite section you have an elevator down to the restaurant and pool area
American Champagne breakfast daily
Canaves Hotel and Suites offers outstanding accommodation and attention to detail. Plus easy walking access to Oia Village where you will find numerous dining options. As the total resort is developed over the cliff edge, you do need to be comfortable with steps and height. The emphasis is on total romance, so children under 13 years are not accepted.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
