The Anantara Chiang Mai is Stylish, modern and contemporary.
Nightly rate from £98 per person
The Anantara Chiang Mai is regarded as one of Northern Thailand’s most elegant and luxurious hotels, perfectly positioned on the banks of Mae Ping river, yet with the famous night market, just a few minutes walk away.
A combination of contemporary design, particularly in the rather stark entrance, but once inside the quality is instant. The airport is 15 minutes drive away
Anantara Chiang Mai is certainly chic, with traditional touches and great style.
You have a choice of:
Deluxe Rooms, which are all river-facing, set back in the gardens.
There are more spacious Junior Suites which have angled river view and also provide a number of in-house incidentals that can really enhance your stay.
An attractive restaurant which actually started life as the residence of the British consulate and was built in the 1920’s.
Riverside swimming pool.
The 84 rooms and junior suites are all spacious and overlook the garden and through to the river.
Choice of restaurant, plus within the immediate area you have many more options.
The Anantara Chiang Mai is Stylish, modern and contemporary. Excellent Location with the river in front on you, and just two roads back the lively night market.
Ask for the modest supplement for upgrading to the Junior Suites as the additional comfort – and extra facilities – is well worth considering.

+ About Chiang Mai & North Thailand
Chiang Mai is the 2nd city of Thailand but is just a fraction of the size of Bangkok. It is compact, bustling and despite some recent development, it retains a market town atmosphere. It is the main gateway to the region. Flying time from Bangkok 60 minutes. Chiang Rai is in the extreme northeast of the country, even smaller and more traditional, with the focal point of interest being the Golden Triangle, the area where Thailand, Laos and Burma (Myanmar) all meet.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
