Angsana Laguna Phuket is a total resort, wonderfully located within the Laguna Resort estate on the west coast. It is almost an island within an island, with the accommodation dotted on the extensive grounds around the man-made lagoon. Plus you have a pathway leading to the adjacent Bang Tao beach, one of the longest and very best in the region.
The resort is 20 minutes drive from the international airport and 35 minutes from Phuket Town with its authentic markets and charm. Within the immediate Laguna area, you have a wide variety of restaurants and a few shops, and just outside the gates, you have a small village with more shops and upscale dining on Boat Avenue (10 minutes taxi). The lively, proudly boisterous area of Patong is a 25-minute drive down the coast. A very different world – may be fun for a night out rather than to stay.
Within the main hotel, you have 382 rooms and suites. Most are Laguna facing with patio or balcony.
You have a choice of:
Laguna rooms (40sqm), Larger Laguna Grand (45sqm) and Laguna Poolside (40sqm ),
You have Laguna Premier Suites which are Junior Suite style with integrated living space (45 sqm) – either pool or lagoon facing.
There are Angsana Duplex Loft suites (88sqm) and Two-bedroom Duplex and Island Suites starting at 118 sqm.
In addition, you have 30 Angsana Suites with one, two and three bedrooms, and then 12 Angsana Villas, with two, three and four bedrooms – each villa with a private pool.
- Numerous on-site dining options with different locations and cuisine plus ferry and shuttle to many more within the Laguna Estate,
- Family-friendly pool
- Additional beachfront pool
- Xana Beach Club
- Championship golf course close by with reduced green fees
- A selection of non-motorised water sports including kayaking and sailing (see Chic Check below)
- A ferry shuttle operates around the estate until mid-evening – a lovely relaxing way to travel, or you can take a resort bus
David from Chic stayed at the resort in June 2022 and was really impressed. Top points were room size, with the Laguna Premier his particular favourite. The complete range of easily accessible dining options both within the estate and just outside the gates, particularly on Boat Avenue.
The beach is one of the most impressive in the region. Note – It is at its best December to April, May to November can be red flag season with high waves, suitable for strong confident swimmers/surfers only. During the summer months, the Lagoon is generally calm, so good for sailing and paddle boating.
The resort has a wide appeal to singles and couples and particularly to multi-generational families.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style.
