Banyan Tree appeals to couples and families, but, as all accommodation has a private pool, you need to be sensibly cautious with younger children.
The spa at the resort is one of the most acclaimed, both in style and variety of treatments.
Depending on the villa location, it will take between 5 and 10 minutes to walk to the beach. There is also a buggy shuttle on request.
Bang Tao Beach is one of the best on the island. Extensive with generally soft sand. Usually at its best from November to April. May to October can be more prone to red flags, and your private pool tends to be used even more!
Newly opened at the end of 2025 has been the RAVA beach club. There will be a regular boat or free shuttle transfer service from Banyan Tree with chargeback options for any food/drink consumed.
I really like the style of the resort. Exclusive, almost American country club ambiance but with enticing Thai touches. Attractive villas set within the extensive grounds. Shuttle ferry around the immediate area, which is a nice way to discover or a bus option, plus an easy 5-minute taxi ride to alternative restaurants & shops just outside the resort estate.
A resort I could comfortably suggest year-round, as you are not dependent on sea conditions.
