The Peninsula Bangkok is a great priced, quality hotel, with fantastic views.
The Peninsula Bangkok has an enviable riverside location in the central Chao Phyra area. A towering 37 floor hotel with superb views from virtually every angle. The modern exterior rather disguises a property of real quality, with the interior reflecting the splendour of a bygone age. The airport is 50 minutes drive.
Peninsula Bangkok has 370 rooms and suites, all spacious starting at 46sqm.
The Peninsula has some of the very best rooms in terms of style, traditional design, colours and of course the views with those on the higher floors giving you the perfect vantage point. There is a maximum of 12 rooms on each floor, so each is spacious, with the right balance of modernity and a real sense of Thailand. The deluxe rooms are located on the lower floors, with the Grand deluxe rooms and suites higher up, with incredible views.
Several restaurant options with the Thai riverfront venue one of the most popular.
Evening dinner cruises on their own teak barges.
There are some dining options within walking distance, and many more by taking the ferry shuttle across the river. The Bangkok sky train station is easily accessed.
In a city with some many deluxe hotel options, we have a rather strong preference for The Peninsula Bangkok.
It is one of the very best priced for the quality available and we find the management receptive in trying to ensure each stay is unique and personalised. We also like the fact that being on the slightly less developed south bank of the city, you actually have better views of Bangkok, particularly at night.

+ About Bangkok
Bangkok Thailand – The bustling capital city of Thailand and one of the main gateways for travel around the country and the region. Towering high rises dwarfing ornate and colourful temples. Traditional Klongs (waterways) alongside packed roads. Smartly dressed executives walking alongside saffron robed Buddhist monks, usually with both on their mobile phone. Flying time 12 hours from the UK.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
The situation on destination entry seems to vary month to month, or in some cases week to week or even day-to-day. For updated information please refer to the UK Government travel advice https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice. This will provide you with information on entry requirements including COVID-19 testing and any quarantine stipulations, especially on return to the UK. As you will know this information is constantly changing, frequently at short notice as evidenced by our own Government actions.
