The Sandpiper is old-time Caribbean – elegant, refined and rather stylish.
7 nights from £1,888 in Summer | £2,948 in Winter
Sister hotel to Coral Reef Club, equally elegant in a subtle deliberately conservative style. The Sandpiper Barbados is located on an attractive cove beach in St. James on the highly popular West Coast. It is set within 7 acres of tropical gardens, leading down to a soft sand beach.
45 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes to Bridgetown. Speightstown, with its numerous upscale beach bars, is 12 minutes drive up the coast
The village of Holetown, with its numerous boutiques and upscale restaurants and Limegrove shopping mall, is just a short stroll.
The Sandpiper has a total of 50 garden rooms, one and two-bedroom suites. All are designed to reflect a traditional West Indian style.
The Garden rooms are in clusters of 4, with two rooms either on the ground floor with terrace or upstairs with balcony. The suites are in a separate garden area and are extremely spacious with a living room and kitchenette.
The One-bedroom Tree Top Suites are particularly romantic and overlook the resort and the beach below. One of the Tree Top suites is located on the upper floor of the Beach House Suites. Each of these suites has its own plunge pool.
We particularly like the recently rebuilt Beach House, which has two One-Bedroom Suites. They can be converted into a spectacular family accommodation directly overlooking the ocean.
Two Swimming pools – One in the original section of the hotel and the other in the south section.
Non-motorised water sports.
High Tide dive centre at Coral reef.
Highly acclaimed and romantic restaurant.
Plus all of the facilities at the Coral Reef are available to you – including the fantastic spa.
A nice mix of optional restaurants and bars in Holetown, with more just a short ride up the coast in Speightstown.
The uber-elegant Limegrove shopping mall also has a good meeting point bar and food court.
Some unique and brightly painted local boutiques shops (Chattel Houses) a few minutes walk.
Look for “i-candy” jewellery boutique for some original island designs – A regular shopping destination for David from Chic!
The Sandpiper is totally elegant and stylish.
The subtle enhancements year on year are always impressive. The clientele are affluent but without the need or desire to display or discuss it every minute! Modern comforts whilst retaining the essential Caribbean style.
The Sandpiper Barbados does not accept children under 12 years between mid-January to end February but is very family-focused in the spring and summer months in particular when its appeal is to independent families.
Children under 5 years are not allowed in restaurant or public areas after 7 pm.

+ About Barbados
Pear shaped, frequently called Little England. It was England’s second settlement in the Caribbean way back in 1627 (St Kitts was the first in 1623).
One of the most developed of the islands. Its size is similar to the Isle of Wight, and with probably the best infrastructure making it the ideal introduction to the region. It also has one of the highest repeat followings, drawn by the excellent hotels, the superb restaurants, the good beaches particularly on the West coast where all of our hotels are located.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
The situation on destination entry seems to vary month to month, or in some cases week to week or even day-to-day.
