Located on Reduit Beach, probably the most popular on the island, an expansive stretch of generally soft sand at Rodney Bay.
Many of the public areas have been completely refreshed and will be noticeable to returning guests
The international airport is a 90-minute scenic drive away as you travel from the southern tip of St Lucia, moving up the Atlantic coast before crossing over the island through banana plantations on the Caribbean side and then to the northwest corner. The smaller inter-island airport is 30 minutes away; the capital, Castries, is 35 minutes.

The Deluxe rooms have a garden, pool or beachfront location. Each has a connection to a one-bedroom suite so they can easily be connected into a rather attractive two-bedroom suite, perfect for larger families.
All rooms are bright and colourful, perfectly capturing the island style. All have a patio or balcony.

Full-day boat trips (extra cost) can be arranged to the famous Pitons, located in the southwest corner of the island, which for us is a must-see on any visit to the island.

There are also zip-wire tours for your consideration. Just check the insurance, ideally before, not during, the ride. You might need to be above a certain height and below a set weight. MH and David just qualified, but at different ends of the scale!
Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa is a good all-around hotel, particularly attractive to families.
It is not deluxe, almost intentionally – just exceedingly good, superior, first-class value. Reduit Beach is considered to be one of the best in the Caribbean. A long stretch of golden sand with generally gentle waves, with the Bay Gardens Beach Resort located at the relatively quieter northern end. Particularly noticeable on cruise days when the southern end & middle become rows of day-tripper deck chairs.
We like the innovative room design with each deluxe room connecting with a one-bedroom suite, easily converting into a two-bedroom suite, which is ideal for larger families.
The resort offers several meal plan options, from breakfast only to half or full board. They have a particularly good all-inclusive plan for those who like the security of one price without having to think about incidental costs every day. The Rodney Bay Marina is just a short drive, and here there are more dining options.

Within the same group, you also have the Bay Gardens Hotel and the Bay Gardens Inn, both of which are located about a 10-minute walk inland, close to the entrance of the Rodney Bay resort area. Both offer a much more modest style of accommodation – details on request.
You also have Water’s Edge Villas (by Bay Gardens) at the marina, just a 5-minute walk from the resort. Perfect for the more independent traveller but with all the hotel facilities close at hand.
A new hotel, under the same management, is under construction to the right of Bay Gardens Beach Resort as you look out to sea. This is due for completion at the end of autumn 2026. It is visible from parts of the beach & sea and audible from some of the garden rooms, but these are rarely used by UK clients.
