Cambodia-Thailand Border Dispute July 2025
Some of you might have read about the border dispute between these two countries. It goes way back in time, almost 200 years, and frequently resurfaces, makes headlines, and then quietens down.
This time both sides are flexing their military muscles, making threats. The border between the two countries is over 500 miles, with several areas of dispute around religious sites which both sides claim. This is mainly in the extreme southeast corner of Thailand/northern Cambodia, well away from the main tourist areas.
We hope the dispute is resolved quickly and peacefully. We are monitoring the situation regularly but have no concerns about our clients visiting Thailand and/or Cambodia. Whilst some land border crossings are closed, international flights continue without disruption.
We will, of course, be ultimately guided by the UK Government’s travel advice to both countries; currently this reflects the information above.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers.
Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
