The Four Seasons Resort Dubai is one of our favourite hotels in the region. It oozes class and style…
The Four Seasons Resort Dubai is a stunning, almost discreetly elegant luxurious hotel, with tremendous facilities. Located at the quieter end of the Jumeirah resort area. We would describe it as a city resort as you have the best of both worlds – the city centre is just 10 minutes drive away, yet you feel totally relaxed with great leisure facilities. The main airport is 25 minutes drive.
Note – The are two Four Season hotels in Dubai, the other being in the International Financial Centre ( DIFC ) , which is much more corporate. Don’t get confused !
Four Seasons Resort Dubai has 237 deluxe rooms and suites. All are incredibly spacious with a minimum of 55 sqm of total living space. You have a choice of city views, partial sea view, and full sea view. The suites range from Jr Suites with integrated living area, to one and two bedroom with separate living area. All are decorated in a lavish, yet almost understated (by Dubai standards!) style.
Attractive cove beach with soft sand
Two swimming pools – one adult only
Spa
Gym
Kids play room
Several specialty restaurants dotted around the extensive tropical gardens, plus just across the entrance courtyard you have more independent options including Coya Peruvian fusion restaurant and bar.
The Four Seasons Resort Dubai is one of our favourite hotels in the region. It oozes class and opulence. It is instantly stylish and so very attractive. Plus it has a really convenient location to enjoy all of the hedonistic pleasures of Dubai. Fantastic dining options in and around the hotel.
In our view, Four Seasons Resort Dubai is a great base for a short 3/4 night stopover en-route to the Indian Ocean or Asia, although we have clients who are very happy staying 7 nights or more. In common with virtually every hotel in Dubai, you will see evidence of development & construction, both in the city and in the resort areas , particularly in the more desirable areas . Here at Four Seasons you will see conclusion of the canal extension way off to your left and further out on the distant horizon you have the construction of the Bulgari Hotel . Neither caused the slightest problem , either visually or audibly ( DK Sept.2016 ) . .

David Revisits Thailand 2022
I last visited Thailand in December 2021. At the time travel was limited and you had to take a test before and on arrival. This time it was much more open. I arrived in Phuket, showed my Thailand pass and vaccination certificates, and collected my case – all within 45 minutes.
Travel is Back – But Keep Your Expectations Realistic
Confidence to travel again has certainly returned as Covid cases around the world continue to drop. Virtually every country (or at least those Chic Locations feature) has relaxed its entry protocols and whilst there are still a few in-destination regulations these are...

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Even Fonder. David Revisits Thailand – Yet Again.I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to revisit Thailand in early December. The last time was in autumn 2019. I have missed it madly and badly. I first visited Thailand in 1976 – yes...
Passport Renewal – Don’t Get Caught Out
Even though the passport office say they can cope with demand at the moment, I have still been told to expect at least 4 /6 weeks for a new passport to arrive. As travel demand increases the longer it will take unless you want to pay extra for fast track…

Maldives – Welcome Back
The UK Government, both the Home office and the Foreign and Commonwealth office, have now approved travel to the Maldives. This is fantastic news and comes at exactly the right time for winter escapism.

Green Watch Excitement in The Caribbean
Many islands in the Caribbean have been placed on the Green Watch list. This means the islands will have their vaccination success monitored by the UK Government on a weekly basis…

Phuket Sandbox Promotion
Although the Sandbox scheme has improved week on week since its introduction in early July, and most of the southern resorts have a high vaccination rate and low cases, the UK Government has chosen to look at the entire country and made it all on the UK Red traffic light NO GO area.

Thai Phuket This Summer – Probably!
It is highly probably the resort island of Phuket will re-open to international travellers from the first week of July 2021. We have a few ideas…

“There’s no such thing as the best hotel, just the right one…”

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
The situation on destination entry seems to vary month to month, or in some cases week to week or even day-to-day. For updated information please refer to the UK Government travel advice https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice. This will provide you with information on entry requirements including COVID-19 testing and any quarantine stipulations, especially on return to the UK. As you will know this information is constantly changing, frequently at short notice as evidenced by our own Government actions.
