Iniala Harbour House is a Luxurious, highly individual, boutique hotel with incredible views.
Iniala Harbour House is located on St Barbara Bastion Street, which is probably the most prestigious residential address in Malta, directly facing the Grand Harbour.
Fashionable, luxurious, and in places, deliberately quirky. Boutique in the truest sense.
It is actually 4 separate houses, themed on 19th-century palazzos, spread along the street for about 75 yards. All of the facilities of the main house are available to resident guests.
The shopping and restaurant areas of Valletta are mainly located in Merchant & Republic streets, about a 5-minute walk up a steep cobblestone pathway. The ferry point to Gozo and the three small cities across the harbour (Paola, Birgu, Kalkara), is a few minutes walk along the corniche.
Valletta is a typical Latin Mediterranean city with steep narrow pathways. It is easy to explore on foot but you do need a reasonable level of mobility. As an option, there is the Barrakka lift, about a 5-minute walk from Iniala and this links the harbour level to the upper gardens and adjacent shopping streets – ask the concierge for operational times and details.
The airport is about 25 minutes drive.
Iniala Harbour House has A selection of 23 rooms – Junior and Executive Suites spread over 4 buildings.
Each is deliberately individual, combining Maltese & regional design influences and, of course, contemporary comforts. You either have city or harbour views – sometimes even both.

Iniala Harbour House is one of the most acclaimed hotels in the Mediterranean and a frequent award winner.
It is prestigious, and that can be reflected in the price, but for many clients that is maybe part of the appeal. Great location facing the magical harbour, bordered by atmospheric historic side streets.
Start your day with breakfast at the rooftop restaurant, too good to rush. Return at night for the pure romance.
For us, the main attraction will be to adult couples or friends, rather than families with younger children, but that could apply to Valletta in general.
David and Marie-Helene from Chic visited Iniala in October 2023 and would be delighted to discuss in greater detail.
