- Plus you have an additional option at the adjacent beachfront called the Naked Fisherman, reached by 90 steps down to Smuggler’s Cove
- An 18 hole golf course is a few minutes drive away with discounted green fees. A top-grade championship course is being built 10 minutes’ drive away
Come to Cap Maison Luxury Resort & Spa for the romance and the great views. On most days you can see the outline of Martinique on the horizon.
Cap Estate is home to some of the most extravagant villas in the Caribbean and you will rub shoulders with the owners who regard the bars and restaurants of the hotel as their “local“.
The adjacent Smuggler’s Cove beach is public, as are all in Saint Lucia and is accessed by 90 steps down and feels like considerably more coming back up, depending on your bar consumption! The sea here is known for its high bracing waves so it best appreciated by the more confident swimmer.
Children are accepted, although there are no facilities other than babysitting and what nature provided.
Something different…
Why not combine your stay at Cap Maison with 4 nights or so in the magnificent south of St Lucia, with Sugar Beach our suggestion. Or maybe a week in Barbados at the Sandpiper before coming across to St Lucia. Maybe a twin-centre with Dominica – the nature island of the Caribbean – where we would suggest the wonderfully escapist Secret Bay. So many ideas, just ask us for details.

+ About Saint Lucia
The main resort area of Saint Lucia is in the north west of the island, around Rodney Bay and Cap Estate, 90 minutes from the international airport which is located on the south coast. Here you will see the greatest development of hotels and villas and good selection of restaurants, shopping malls and some quite lively bars. Probably the best golden sand beaches, particularly Reduit at Rodney Bay which is long and expansive but can get busy, especially when cruise ships visit. The transfer from the international airport is scenic as you initially travel along the wilder Atlantic coast before crossing through banana plantations and dense forest before emerging onto the Caribbean (west) coast.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
