Choose Anse Chastanet for the easy elegance, the totally tropical setting. Jade Mountain has some of the very best accommodation in the region combined with incredible views, and it will appeal to an affluent romantic couple at ease with nature. With both properties, there are numerous steps, so it would not be ideal for those with mobility/breathing problems.
This area is stunning but self-contained, so once at the resort, you tend to stay there. The road up the mountain rather limits the enthusiasm to leave!
Diving and snorkelling are rated as some of the very best in the region.
Water taxis can be arranged to the nearby ramshackle village of Soufriere, which has a certain Caribbean charm.
