The Beach Club at Haad Tien is a slightly lower priced option than the Haad Tien Villas, yet with the opportunity to enjoy many of the facilities in the area.
The Beach Club at Haad Tien is under the same management as the Haad Tien Resort with whom they share many facilities and the same fantastic beach. The Beach Club offers a more contemporary design style, particularly emphasised in the bright modern rooms.
To arrive at Koh Tao we suggest travel to Koh Samui, and then daylight high-speed catamaran for 2 hours (see the feature on Haad Tien Resort for more information). From the port to the resort is about 10 minutes in open Jitney style hotel bus.
74 rooms split into four storey clusters, built around the swimming pool, looking out to the sea. All have sea facing aspect, with some directly beach front. Those on the top floor, in particular, have super views out over the bay below.

The Beach Club at Haad Tien is a slightly lower priced option than the Haad Tien Villas, yet with the opportunity to enjoy many of the facilities in the area. The essential difference is that you are staying in a cluster of rooms rather than your private villa.
Koh Tao is essentially best appreciated by those who have been to Asia before, maybe as backpackers and still have a sense of adventure and discovery. However, they now have the financial resources to afford considerably more comfortable accommodation and resort style. They prefer the simple pleasures, rather than something Neon lit.
Note: As there are some steps linking the facilities it would not be ideal for those with mobility issues.
The best time to visit Koh Tao is March to September when the days are bright and sunny, with the occasional tropical downpour, just to keep things green and fresh. In these months the sea conditions are usually calm and the beaches at their widest.
