Anantara Resort and Villas Phuket is instantly impressive and has a quiet, subtle elegance…
Anantara Resort and Villas Phuket is a luxurious resort with interesting accommodation options and attractive upscale location at Kamala on the west coast. The resort is located on a hillside, overlooking the bay below. Kamala village, with its numerous sea food restaurants, is just a few minutes drive away. The airport 45 minutes.
Anantara Resort and Villas Phuket have a choice of Residence Suites and individual villas.
All are beautifully designed, combining contemporary comforts and traditional Thai influences, blended well with classic, simple elegance. The 37 Residence suites are in the low rise main building and all have spacious bedrooms, separate living room, kitchen and expansive sea facing terrace. Those on the ground and Penthouse (3rd Floor) have their own swimming pool. Many are interconnecting, so can be expanded into larger suites with two, three or four bedrooms.
The 26 freestanding and spectacular Pool Villas are located further up the hill with even more impressive views. All come with a private pool and Thai Chef & staff to attend to your every need. The villas range in size from three to six bedrooms.

Anantara Resort and Villas Phuket will appeal to those who want spacious top of the range accommodation, a feeling of independence, yet with the reassurance of resort management and facilities. Instantly impressive and has a quiet, subtle elegance.
We really like this area of Phuket. It is upscale, evidenced by the numerous private residences that stretch along the “Amalfi“ style coast line from Surin down to Kamala. It is far removed from the proudly boisterous and rather tacky Patong area – only 15 minutes drive south but a very different world!
Kamala is a more traditional fishing village with numerous and rather good seafood restaurants. A family friendly atmosphere, plus the beach is rated as one of the best.
If time allows, combine your stay at Anantara with a few nights in Bangkok where we suggest either The Peninsular or the totally unique Siam Hotel. Or go north to Chiang Mai where we think the historic 137 Pillars House would make an interesting twin or triple centre. Phuket is well served by air services from Bangkok and Chiang Mai, as well as direct flights from several Gulf airports (Dubai and Abu Dhabi for example) and Singapore, Kuala Lumpur & Hong Kong.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
The situation on destination entry seems to vary month to month, or in some cases week to week or even day-to-day.
