Phum Baitang (It means Green Village) delivers ultimate, simple sophistication in rural Cambodia – Incredible…
What a little gem of a boutique resort! Phum Baitang is so simple and elegant. Instant Wow! From the time you enter the reception and look out to the rice fields with the accommodation spaced around the 8 hectares of typical Cambodian farmland.
Phum Baitang is located 15 minutes drive from the airport and from the centre of Siem Reap town and 20 minutes drive to the incredible temples of Angkor.
Phum Baitang has a choice of 45 spacious wooden villas, all built on stilts.
You have a choice of:
25 Terrace Villas with 80sqm of total living space, with each bedroom having integrated living space plus a garden area.
A further 20 Villas with their own plunge pool, offering over a total of 130 sqm of total comfort.
Villas can comfortably accommodate two adults and one or two children. Each villa has bicycles for exploring the extensive grounds.
Choice of restaurants in differing locations with Cambodian and regional specialities tinged with Mediterranean influences.
Cigar and cocktail lounge – a perfect place to enjoy the sunset, boutique.
Throughout the resort a selection of handpicked antiques.
A selection of individually crafted local experiences.
A family of working water buffalo assist the farmers.
Phum Baitang is a relatively new name in Siem Reap, but opened to instant acclaim and popularity, helped in no small measure by a number of Hollywood A-list celebrities who choose to make it home for a few months.
Leonardo Da Vinci said “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication“ and that aptly describes the resort. It oozes class, but in a subtle “less is more” style.
Phum Batang is located 15 minutes drive into Siem Reap city and, for many of Bhum Baitang’s, clients that is close enough. The emphasis here is quiet relaxation in a gentle style, with highly personalised attention.
MH from Chic visited Phum Baitang in May 2018 and fell in love with the total style and ambience. She would be happy to discuss her experiences with this amazing hotel. Get in touch.
