The interior is full of original local art, with numerous paintings and carvings.
Centrally located in the old quarter, close to Independence Monument, Royal Palace, and National Museum, and within a short walk of the river.
The airports (a new one is due to open in autumn 2025) are about a one-hour drive, maybe a little longer in rush hour.
La Rose Suites has 68 rooms and suites, split into two sections on either side of a small street.

David has been to Phnom Penh several times and rates the city as one of the most interesting in the region, especially if you have knowledge of the tragic events in Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge in the late 1970s. In David’s view, the resilience of the Cambodians to overcome such things and to come out the other side with genuine warmth and graciousness is one of the many reasons to visit.
It may not be the place if this is your first visit to Southeast Asia, but regular travellers will find it enthralling.
