Raffles Bali is a new luxury villa resort in Jimbaran – Superb location
Opened in December 2021, Raffles Bali has already established itself as one of the very best luxury resorts in the entire South East Asia region.
It is located at the quiet southern end of Jimbaran Bay within a vast 23-hectare manicured private estate with a secluded beach and lush tropical greeneries.
The all-villa resort is positioned on a hillside facing the ocean and leading down to a cove beach, accessed by a buggy from villa or a few steps from the beachfront restaurant. The main extensive beach of Jimbaran is about 5 minutes’ drive away. The international airport is 30 minutes’ drive. You can see the planes landing in the distance but they are rarely heard.
Raffles Bali has 32 private pool villas.
All are sea-facing with the Ocean Pool located higher up the hill and the Panoramic Pool villas lower down.
They are incredibly spacious at 470 sqm, with comfortable in and out living space including bedroom with lounge area, private 35 sqm pool, open dining, and relaxing gazebo surrounded by lush tropical gardens.
29 have one bedroom, with ample space for extra bed. There are also 2 two-bedroom beach front villas and 1 Presidential villa. The rooms are bright with just the right balance of Balinese character.
- Choice of restaurant location and cuisine style
- Unique private cave, the farm terrace exclusive dining and sea front gazebo private dining
- Main infinity swimming pool
- Indoor and semi-outdoor spa
- Fitness centre
- Bikes to explore the immediate area – actually a good way to just see the size of the private resort
- In the Jimbaran area, you have several dining options within a short drive
- Nusa Dua is about 20 minutes away and Seminyak 30 minutes.
- In the opposite direction, Uluwatu, known for its sunsets, is about 35 minutes’ drive south
Raffles Bali is absolute class from the moment you enter the estate gates and take the 4-minute drive to reception. Outstanding quality.
It has a quiet, refined, hushed tone elegance. It is at the top of the tree price-wise £1,000 per night plus as a guide, but that will be seen as an attraction, not a detriment for the right clients.
Children are accepted, although the primary appeal will be to romantic couples. Marie-Helene from Chic visited the property in November 2022 and was incredibly impressed – doesn’t happen that often!
We think Raffles combines well with a tour around Bali, with a few nights in the mountain area of Ubud. Or maybe staying 2/3 nights at the iconic& historical Raffles Hotel in Singapore en route.

+ About Bali – Indonesia
In our view, Bali Indonesia is one of the most romantic islands in the world. Add instant culture & an almost spiritual atmosphere. Despite increased tourism, once away from the busier resorts you still have a wonderful sense of tradition.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
