Absolute Sanctuary, Koh Samui is a dedicated and acclaimed Health & Wellness Resort on a wonderfully tropical island.
Absolute Sanctuary is a premier wellness resort with a particular emphasis on Detox, Yoga, Fitness, Pilates, Anti Stress and Weight management programmes. You have a choice of 20 programmes across 16 different categories, and most can be adapted to your specific requirements.
It is located on a hillside in the northeast corner of Koh Samui, a 10-minutes drive from the airport. There are a variety of beaches within a few minutes drive (taxis can be easily obtained on request ), with Choeng Mon the closest at about 5 minutes, and Chaweng and Bo Phut/ Fisherman’s Village about 10 minutes.
Note – Absolute Sanctuary is wellness-focused throughout. Alcohol is not served or permitted in public areas. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms or in/out of public areas.
Children over 12 years are accepted although there may be some restrictions on the treatments available for those under 18 years.
There are several steps (no lifts) linking the rooms with the public areas. Wi-Fi is available in the rooms, facilities and in most public areas.
Absolute Sanctuary has 34 rooms and 4 speciality suites spread around the hillside, on two levels spread over 5 buildings.
Views mainly overlook the swimming pool for rooms on the bottom floor, whilst rooms on the upper floors have sea-facing aspect over the trees. From the outside, they have a simple Moorish / North African theme with a garden patio or balcony. Inside they are bright and modern.
You have a choice of Superior Rooms (30sqm), larger Deluxe Rooms (38sqm) or plush Suites (46 sqm).

Group yoga and pilates sessions are included in most programs (Individual sessions can be booked as a supplement unless included within the package).

David from Chic stayed here in June 2022 for one night. Not long enough to make much of a difference, but he left with a desire to return.
We have suggested a 5-night stay, but many choose to stay for much longer. It is highly individual and, unlike some similar resorts in Thailand, the setting is totally tropical. Samui can be easily circumnavigated in a day with sensible relaxing time, with the north and east coast developed and the south and west sides almost untouched and authentic Thailand.
We suggest a hotel-arranged taxi rather than moped/motorbike.
