Classic colonial charm meets contemporary elegance at Centara Reserve Samui
Centara Reserve Samui is the first of the emerging Centara Reserve luxurious resorts. Some might recall the former Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui, with its distinguished white walls and colonial pillars. They still remain, but walking in now takes the resort to a different level. It is bright, fresh, and spacious with the right combination of natural light and romantic moods. It has been beautifully enhanced, retaining the charm of the original resort but now with superb accommodation and on-site facilities.
The location is superb, at the quieter southern end of Chaweng Beach on the east coast, so you have soft sand, generally turquoise sea and a selection of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk or a short taxi ride. The airport is 15 minutes drive away.
Centara Reserve Samui has 184 rooms, suites and villas.
You have a choice of:

The resort location is South Chaweng, about 10 minutes taxi or 25 minutes walk to North Beach, which tends to be more boisterous / party-focused.

*Some bars might be adult-focused only
Chic is delighted to have been chosen as one of the partners for this exciting new brand. For those who recall Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui, the location and extensive gardens are the same, but everything else is almost unrecognisable. It is like moving from a good mid-range to a deluxe with a wonderfully cool ambience on so many different levels.
The attraction will be to singles, couples and multigenerational families.
Koh Samui can be easily circumnavigated on a full-day tour, allowing for relaxing time. The north and the east coasts have seen the most development; the south and west coasts remain totally authentic. Within the island, you have small fishing villages, waterfalls, and ethical elephant camps. On the north shore, you have Fisherman’s Village restaurant area which is worth visiting especially in the evening. It’s about a 30-drive. The resort will be delighted to assist you with recommended taxis. We do not recommend moped/motorbike hire. Day tours to the neighbouring Koh Phangan or Koh Tao can also be easily arranged.
Samui tends to be at its best weather-wise Mid March through to September when the days are usually bright, hot & sunny and the seas calm. October to February can see more rain, usually in short sharp bursts, and some sea swells.

+ About Samui & Neighbouring Resorts
Samui – Good, highly innovative hotels and some excellent dining options. The majority of the development has occurred in the north-west area of the island and the more expansive beaches.
Phangan, Koh Tao and Khanom are much less developed, it is like going back 30 years in time, with just a handful of hotels, and offers a true sense of adventure.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
