Alila Suites Seminyak delivers chilled-out chic elegance in a popular dining location…
Alila Suites Seminyak is a stylish, chic and elegaresort, with simple clean lines and a deliberately minimalist design.
Located on the beach at Seminyak, the “restaurant capital” of Bali. In addition, there are numerous attractive bars and boutique shops.
The airport is 30 minutes away. The lively resort area of Kuta 15 minutes drive, but a totally different world.
Note – Our feature is for the upscale Alila Suites. There are also Alila Studio Rooms in the same area. Lower price but, in our view, not so well located. You will pass the studios on the drive into the resort.
Alila is now part of the Hyatt Hotel group.
Alila Suites Seminyak has 140 Suites and One Penthouse. Housed within 4 four-storey blocks, each suite is spacious, with all contemporary room comforts.
Each suite is Junior Suite style with integrated living area, except in the Seminyak and Beach Suites, which have sliding door partitions. The Penthouse has 3 bedrooms and a separate living/dining area.
You have a choice of:
Deluxe Suites. 72 sqm – Garden Facing, so some outside noise might be heard from the neighbouring W Hotel and Mississippi water park, but not with your door closed.
Deluxe Terrace Suites. 66 sqm – Ground floor, in a quiet location within the resort and easy access to the adult only Serene Pool.
Deluxe Ocean Suites. 60 sqm – Upper Floors, with great views.
Alila Terrace Suites. 72 sqm – Ground floor, garden with direct access to lawn area & easy pool access.
Alila Ocean Suite. – Located within the main hub of the hotel.
Seminyak Suite. 117 sqm – Ocean view, with bedroom separated by sliding door.
Beach Suite. 177sqm – Ground floor with bedroom separated by sliding door.
Alila Penthouse 811 sqm. Three bedrooms, all with en-suite. It has a huge dining/living area, plus commanding views overlooking the total resort and out to the ocean.
Seasalt Restaurant, plus within the Seminyak area you have so many upscale choices and simple authentic lower-priced options.
Kid’s supervised playroom.
Regular shuttle to Seminyak Square for shopping.
The Alila Suites Seminyak is a relative oasis of calm within a busy corner of Bali.
That is all part of the appeal. Space and time to chill out, complemented by so many nearby alternative dining or nightlife options. Some on the beach and others tucked away, romantically positioned overlooking rice fields.
The beach is long and expansive, stretching over 4 miles all the way down to Legian and then onto the ultra lively resort area of Kuta. The beach is popular with both tourists and locals, particularly late afternoon sunset time. Alternatively, you can get up early and watch the local fisherman prepare their boats.
Note – The sea here is probably best enjoyed by the more confident swimmer & surfers, as strong currents and high waves generally exists year-round.
In addition to the property in Seminyak, Alila also has an attractive hotel up in the hill resort of Ubud or on the quiet east coast at Manggis. Twin or triple centre holidays might be suggested, as this would give a totally unique view of what Bali has to offer: sophisticated beach resorts, mountain romance and cultural tranquillity. The Truth About Earthquakes & Volcanoes
Indonesia is located within the dramatically named “Ring of Fire”. As such, earthquakes are almost a daily occurrence in some parts of the archipelago. Anything less than five on the Richter scale of earthquakes hardly breaks a stride locally and is barely reported. There are 130 active volcanoes. Some have been docile for years, others seem to grumble more frequently. So in reality, you can have natural a disturbance, but the chances of it actually happening to you are rare. A little tremble quite probably, anything more serious unlikely. Neither earthquakes or volcanic eruptions are seasonal.

+ About Bali – Indonesia
In our view, Bali Indonesia is one of the most romantic islands in the world. Add instant culture & an almost spiritual atmosphere. Despite increased tourism, once away from the busier resorts you still have a wonderful sense of tradition.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
