Six Senses La Sagesse Grenada – contemporary luxury on a naturally beautiful island
Six Senses La Sagesse is a relatively new name to the Grenada hotel scene. And very welcome, as it offers a contrast in style & design to the more traditionally themed hotels like Spice Island & Calabash. Here the style is stripped-down contemporary, with just an occasional flourish of island influence.
It is located on La Sagesse beach, in the quiet rural parish of St David, in the southeast corner of the island. The attractive capital, St George’s, is about a 25-minute drive away, as is the international airport.
Six Senses La Sagesse has just 56 junior suites and 15 villas set within the expansive 38-acre resort area.
The Junior Suites all have sea or lagoon views and are set in two-storey clusters, either ground or first floor.
All have integrated living space, sundeck and private pool. They are grouped around the lagoon, with the sea visible beyond.
The villas offer One, Two and Four Bedrooms , and have large private pools and sundecks and are located at the hilltop with superb views overlooking the bay below.
- Choice of restaurant and cuisine
- Swimming pool
- Spa
- Gym and health club
- Selection of non-motorised water sports
- The beach is narrow & long, with generally dark sand.
- A buggy operates around the resort on demand, although most find the walk invigorating & easy with just a few steps and inclines – unless you are staying in the hilltop villas!
This part of the island is very different from the better-known Grand Anse beach area, although less than a 25-minute drive away. Here is more rural farmland, a place to escape from the main tourist points.
The design of Six Senses La Sagesse is bright & international, modern, and intentionally minimalist. Grenada is one of the most stunning and attractive of all the Caribbean islands. Lush, green & tropical. The people have real pride in what nature has given them—something that is not always obvious on neighbouring islands.
The pleasures are simple. It would not be the place if you wanted nightlife and shopping, although spontaneous parties are not unknown.
Note – Just to the left of the Six Senses, an Intercontinental hotel is being built, with a planned opening late 2025. (Both Six Senses & Intercontinental are part of the IHG management group, which has at least 14 brands). It is visible from some elevated points and when walking along the beach. It looks to be several clusters of 4/5 storeys with 150 rooms and villas. Once opened, it is planned there will be linked dining options between the two hotels.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
