OBLU NATURE Helengelihas easy access from Male Airport, so a good combination for a shorter stay option combined with maybe Dubai or Sri Lanka.
OBLU NATURE Helengeli is a First class All-inclusive resort, with incredible year-round value. Opened November 2015. North Male Atoll, an easy 50-minute speedboat ride from Male Airport.
The main attractions here are the house reefs just offshore, the relatively easy access from Male, and the very well-priced all-inclusive plan for the quality on offer.
The house reef, easily accessed from the beach, and channel diving opportunities are regarded as some of the very best in the region and that is saying something!
The resort happily attracts singles, couples, and families.
OBLU NATURE Helengeli offers a selection of 116 villas with vibrant colourful designs that perfectly capture the easy-going relaxed style of the resort.
You have a choice of:
Beach Villas. 48sqm and just a hop, skip, and a jump to the beach.
Deluxe Beach Villas. As above but larger at 64sqm.
Lagoon Villas. In a slightly more secluded part of the resort, even larger at 77sqm, with expansive in and out living areas and plunge pool steps down into the lagoon. Rather romantic.
One Bedroom Beach Suites. The most glamorous accommodation, with a separate living room, garden area, and rather impressive large private pool. Just two of these so early booking essential
- An all-inclusive plan including three meals daily, unlimited regular spirits, house wine, bottled water, soft drinks, tea, and coffee.
- Open 8.00 am for breakfast, bar opens mid-morning until just after midnight.
- Room service/minibar and speciality wines and spirits not included.
- One sunset fishing trip per stay
- Non-motorised water sports
- Main restaurants plus Just Grill al a carte option where a supplement applies
- Adult only Swimming pool and beach bar
- Spa – treatments optional and not included in the All-Inclusive plan
- PADI certified dive school. The island is known as one of the best dive sites in the North Male Atoll. Optional, not included in the All-Inclusive plan
- And of course, the fantastic house reef
OBLU NATURE Helengeli’s All-Inclusive plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner all on a buffet basis taken in the main restaurant. House wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks, local island tour & sunset fishing trip – once weekly, non-motorized water sports, snorkeling equipment. One dinner per person at the speciality exclusive Just Grill restaurant for every 7 nights booked.
OBLU NATURE Helengeli offers super all-inclusive value, the resort prides itself on being first-class value rather than deluxe. The resort is essentially adult diver and water sport-focused.
The rooms are simple but totally capture the pleasures of the island. Marie-Helene from Chic stayed here in September 2019 and was impressed by the value, the so easy access to the house reef, the attentive and highly personalised management, even the quality of the buffet, and she is such a fussy eater! Plus the convenience of speedboat transfers.
Children are accepted but there are no facilities other than what nature has provided. The swimming pool and surround is adult only.
For something different, look at a combination of a touring holiday around Sri Lanka and then take the short flight across to the Maldives for 5 days or more of beach and sea pleasures.
Note – Strong seasonal currents do exist, so some sea areas are not suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but there are still plenty of alternatives. Check with the water-sports office /desk for guidance.

COVID-19 - Updated Information – March 2023.
Virtually all countries worldwide have relaxed their protocols on Covid and there are very few restrictions. However, most countries review this on a month-by-month basis and will take immediate action should cases return or increase.
As a general statement, we would say travel is back to about 90% of its 2019 pre-covid levels – although with maybe less staff than before. This can particularly apply to airports with check-in teams and baggage handlers, and also in hotels. If you are a long-time repeat visitor to a specific hotel it is quite possible you might know your way around the property better than the newly appointed staff – smile and maybe even try to assist!

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
