With Bisma Eight, industrial contemporary Chic meets Asian artistry in Ubud.
Bisma Eight delivers authentic Asian elegance with its use of Granite Concrete walls, bamboo and soft fabrics. Totally contemporary in its simplicity, with super views over the forests and rice fields of Ubud. And so well located, just half a mile from the main village centre (about 12 minutes’ walk).
Bali is uniquely Hindu – Buddhist. The hotel name is taken from this influence. It is located on Jalan (road) Bisma. In the Hindu religion, Lord Bhishma was one of Lord Krishna’s most loyal devotees. The figure 8 was chosen as throughout Asia it is regarded as the luckiest, bringing good health & wealth.
Ubud is approximately 90 minutes from the international airport or the beach resorts in the southern peninsula.
Bisma Eight has a selection of 38 suites.
You have a choice of:
Forest Suites – These are located the west of the main building, closest to the swimming pool. They give the impression of living in an extended treehouse. Spacious with a total of 58sqm including integrated living space and balcony.
Canopy Suites – These are located on the upper floor and have views over the hills and treetops of Ubud. Slightly larger with a total of 64sqm of living space, including an integrated living area and balcony.
Garden Suites – Ground floor, the most spacious with 67sqm of total living area, including sliding door, living area and patio
Pool pavilion for light meals & drinks
Gym with yoga classes on a group basis (private lessons can be arranged on request)

Ubud village is close by and there you will be spoilt for dining choice with so many options – there is a shuttle several times daily
In-room spa treatments
Bisma Eight is a very welcome introduction to the Chic Locations portfolio.
We like the simple style and the combination of cutting-edge contemporary design with Asian influences. Not to mention the very attractive price point.
It is not deluxe, deliberately, just exceedingly good value for such a well-positioned location. Bisma is happy, relaxed and has a rather hip vibe.
Children are accepted but there are no specific facilities.
The Truth About Earthquakes & Volcanoes
Indonesia is located within the dramatically named “Ring of Fire”. As such, earthquakes are almost a daily occurrence in some parts of the archipelago. Anything less than five on the Richter scale of earthquakes hardly breaks a stride locally and is barely reported. There are 130 active volcanoes. Some have been docile for years, others seem to grumble more frequently. So in reality, you can have natural a disturbance, but the chances of it actually happening to you are rare. A little tremble quite probably, anything more serious unlikely. Neither earthquakes or volcanic eruptions are seasonal.

+ About Bali – Indonesia
In our view, Bali Indonesia is one of the most romantic islands in the world. Add instant culture & an almost spiritual atmosphere. Despite increased tourism, once away from the busier resorts you still have a wonderful sense of tradition.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
