Located in the more remote Northern Haa Dhaalu Atoll, 75 minutes by daylight-only seaplane from Male International Airport. Or a 40-minute seaplane ride north from Soneva Fushi, so twin centres can be easily arranged.
Soneva Secret features 6 beachfront villas, 5 overwater villas, and 2 lagoon villas. The lagoon villas, either beachfront or overwater.
All are incredibly spacious with in-and-out living areas, and all have a private in-villa kitchen, pool & gym—yes, you read that right.
You have a choice of:
- One-Bedroom Beach Hideaway – 448 sqm. Spread over two floors, the master bedroom plus a junior bedroom for up to two children. Surrounded by lush green foliage and just strides to the soft sand beach.
- Two-Bedroom Beach Reserve – 1158 sqm. Similar to above but on one level and even more impressive space, with two main bedrooms and two junior bedrooms for children.
- One-Bedroom Overwater Hideaway – 461 sqm. With an additional water slide and steps into the sea. Linked to the mainland by jetty bridge.
- One-Bedroom Crusoe Villa – 461 sqm. Set over two floors with a master bedroom and children’s room, featuring a private pool with ample space for lounging and dining. Offers total seclusion, as it is accessible only by boat.
- Two-Bedroom Crusoe Reserve – 1108 sqm. Similar to one-bedroom but with extra bedroom and even more outside living space, and total privacy as it is accessed by private electric boat (2 minutes from shore)
- The Spa: Wellness treatments offered in serene island settings or in-villa
- The Den: A creative and inspiring space for children to play and explore
- Out of This World Observatory: An overwater dining tower and stargazing deck
- Curated Dining Experiences: A variety of exceptional dining options located across the island, including castaway picnics and private in-villa meals
- Marine Adventures: Snorkelling with manta rays and turtles, guided reef dives, and a range of water sports
The resort operates on an inclusive basis, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in restaurants; extra charges apply for festive-time meals or room service. There is an optional higher-priced plan including alcoholic drinks and several other items—details on request.
It is deliberately small and exclusive, reflected in the high price, but that seems to add to the appeal—plus many of the incidentals charged at other resorts are included at Soneva Secrets.
You should view the longer journey time as part of the experience. The Haa Dhaalu Atoll is located in the northwest of the Maldives and might be more impacted by higher sea swells and rainfall, usually in the months of May to September.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers.
