The Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa is a welcome new name to the Maldives resort scene, offering multi-generational attractions.
Opened in Spring 2024, the resort offers a modern contemporary art-inspired design throughout, perfectly complimenting the tropical vegetation and the usually turquoise sea.
It offers outstanding introduction value and will appeal to couples and families alike. It will also appeal to water sports enthusiasts, luxury travellers seeking modern design, and marine life lovers.
Le Meridien Maldives is located on Thilamaafushi Island, in the acclaimed Lhaviyani Atoll, 35 minutes north from Male International Airport by daylight hours seaplane. This area is particularly known for its abundant marine life.
Le Meridien Maldives has 134 villas, all with either beach or over-water views. All are spacious, starting at 70 sqm.
You have a choice of:
Beach villas, Beach Villas with private pool, Two-Bedroom Beach Villas with pool, and Lagoon Villas.
There are Sunrise or Sunset Overwater Villas—some with private pools, Two-Bedroom Overwater Villas with pools, and finally a rather sumptuous Speciality Suite Overwater Villa.
- Super choice of beach plus separate sandbank island reached by boat
- Numerous restaurants with different cuisine themes ranging from exotic wholesome to healthy vegetarian and in different locations around the island
- Main pool
- Separate adults-only option
- Gym
- Explore Spa by Le Meridien
- Yoga sessions
- Kids club and play area
- Dive centre (this region is known for its diving and snorkelling opportunities)
- A complete range of water sports
- House reef for snorkeling
- Marine biology programs
- sand dune private dining
Note: Some facilities, such as spa, motorised water sports, and diving, will be at extra cost.
The resort offers meal plan options from breakfast only, Half Board Inc. Breakfast & Dinner, Full Board Inc. Breakast, Lunch & Dinner, and two All Inclusive choices, with the higher priced premium giving even more choice with menu, locations, and inclusions.
As Le Meridien Maldives is newly opened, we are a little hesitant to use luxury blandly, so we will say very good first class with superb facilities and location—plus excellent introduction value rates.
We would opt for one of the All Inclusive options, as they generally provide more long term price assurance & confidence, both before arrival and during your stay—but the choice is yours. The meal plan chosen has to apply to all those within booking.
As many of the villas have either a private pool and/or are overwater, you do need to be sensibly diligent with younger children. You may be asked to sign an insurance disclaimer for those under 12 years upon arrival.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
