Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur has exceptional room quality, plus the views of the Twin Towers are so good…
Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur is a new name on the luxury hotel scene in KL. Opened in July 2018, the hotel occupies the top 7 floors of a 60 storey sleek building in the heart of the Golden Triangle which is the focus for downtown shopping and commerce. The famous Petronas Twin Towers are visible from many rooms and public areas, particularly spectacular at night when viewed from the rooftop Vertigo Bar. The lower floors of the building are privately owned the rather prestigious Banyan Tree Residences.
The airport is about 50 minutes drive away.
Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur has just 55 exclusive rooms and suites.
All are spacious, starting at 51 sqm, with contemporary lines, a dash of local colour and an emphasis on space and light. Each has good views of the ever-changing city skyline, with some directly facing thew famous Twin Towers
You have a choice of:
Banyan Retreat rooms, Larger Signature Banyan Retreat rooms, Signature Sky Retreat rooms. There are a variety of One Bedroom Suites.
- Banyan Tree Spa
- 24-hour gym
- Open-air swimming pool
- Vertigo Bar with chilled and occasionally pumping music every night ( weather permitting )
- Elevated Restaurants within and out options and bakery cafe on the ground floor (Malaysians like their cakes) plus many more in the immediate area
- A walkway bridge links the hotel to the upscale Pavilions Shopping Mall
There is now so much Luxury choice In KL, with all the top hotel brands now clamouring to open in the city, and particularly in this area. We have a preference for the Banyan Tree because it seems more personalised and individual. The room quality is exceptional and much larger than the norm. Plus the views of the towers – slightly set back rather than adjacent – are so good. Of course, as you will be on the 53rd plus floor you do need to be comfortable with heights.
Even if you do not stay, take time to visit the Vertigo Bar at night for some of the best panoramic views of the city skyline.
As with all city hotels in the region, suits might be more visible than shorts during the day.
Kuala Lumpur (KL) can be easily combined into a tour around Malaysia or the region . We think a twin centre with the impressive Ritz-Carlton on the island of Langkawi is worth considering . Or KL is a good stop-over option for travelling through to Bali or to one of the islands in southern Thailand .

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
