SAii Phi Phi Island Village is a totally tropical island resort, superbly located.
A good superior first class resort with extensive facilities, super beach and a genuine feeling of tropical escapism. It is located within 70 acres of a coconut plantation, with an 800 m beach front.
SAii Phi Phi Island Village is located on Phi Phi Don which is the largest and most populated of the 6 islands that make up the Phi Phi group. Only two have full-time residents of more than 30 people. The total group have a local population of below 4,000, but this trebles at least in the peak tourist season.
Just to put things in scale, Phi Phi Don is 8 miles long and 3 miles and offers limestone mountains, forests, caves, small villages – and of course beaches. From the air it can resemble a butterfly with a long strand of beach connecting the ”wings”. It is on this strand that you find most of the island bar & nightlife activity. SAii is located across the island on the east coast, about 40 minutes by long-tail boat or you can cycle along the pathway. Cars are still a rarity.
Phi Phi Don is located 25 miles southeast of Phuket, 18 miles west of Krabi. Most travellers will arrive by speedboat from Phuket which takes about 65 minutes, daylight transfers.
SAii Phi Phi Island Village has 189 traditional thatched roof Thai bungalows.
You have a choice of:
Superior garden view (45 sqm), larger deluxe and premium versions (50 & 59 sqm).
Deluxe sea view, Deluxe Jr Suites (79 sqm with integrated living area).
In addition there are 12 one and two bedroom Hillside Villas with private pool and specular views overlooking the resort and bay below .

The Phi Phi Islands became famous by attracting back packers from around the world, turned on by the great beaches & the laid back traditional style. The film The Beach, made in 2000, further advertised the islands, with Maya Bay on neighbouring Phi Phi Leh the main location – it is just a short speedboat ride away from the resort.
This relaxed vibe is still the main drawing point, but SAii Phi Phi Island Village allows you to stay in considerably more comfort. It is not luxurious in maybe the usual sense as the design style – mainly wood & thatch – are intended to reflect island simplicity. It is quite a large resort in both acreage and rooms, but this means the facilities are also extensive.
We particularly suggest a twin centre with Phuket staying at the SAii Laguna Resort – a rather nice combination.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
