Jetwing Vil Uyana is a heaven for nature lovers, with the dramatic Sigiriya Rock almost overlooking the resort. It is located about 4 hours drive from Colombo Airport and city.
Vil Uyana is usually combined as part of a multicentre tour of the island. It also makes a good base for exploring the cultural triangle, so stays are 4 nights plus are not unusual.
Jetwing Vil Uyana has 25 eco-influenced dwellings, either set within the forest or perched on stilts above the paddy fields.
Spacious with a good combination of eco authentic style and contemporary comforts. Some have their own plunge pool.
You have a choice of Garden, Forest, Paddy, Marsh or Overwater Dwelling. As most are built close to / above water, a good insect repellent might be useful.
Restaurant choice.
The Kaudulia or Minneriya National parks are close by and here you can see elephants, monkeys and different species of birds
