Barbados is an easy island to discover and can be easily circumnavigated in a day with a private taxi guide or self-drive. The wild Atlantic East coast and hillside farming of the North offers a complete scenic contrast to the much more developed south and west shores. Ok, it’s a day away from the beach but will give you an appreciation of what else Barbados has to offer.
The Friday night fish fry in Oistins should be considered if you don’t mind the crowds. Good affordable Bajan food, rum, music and dancing, just a short taxi or bus ride away.
