The Truth About Earthquakes & Volcanoes
Indonesia is located within the dramatically named “Ring of Fire”. As such, earthquakes are almost a daily occurrence in some parts of the archipelago. Anything less than five on the Richter scale of earthquakes hardly breaks a stride locally and is barely reported. There are 130 active volcanoes. Some have been docile for years, others seem to grumble more frequently. So in reality, you can have natural a disturbance, but the chances of it actually happening to you are rare. A little tremble quite probably, anything more serious unlikely. Neither earthquakes or volcanic eruptions are seasonal.
Ubud has many romantic boutique hotels, but for quality accommodation, incredible views from virtually every angle. Samaya Ubud Bali is no exception.
Take time to explore the area. This is Bali at it’s very best. Wake up early and watch the colours change on the hills opposite. Enjoy a good glass of wine watching the fast-flowing river.
The food is a skilful blend of Asian with some Mediterranean influences.
Note – The resort is undergoing some internal villa enhancement. This is being done on an individual villa by villa and commenced mid-2018 and is likely to run through to mid-2019. This does not impact the facilities at all other than it slightly reduces the room inventory.
