Layana Resort and Spa is attractive and elegant in a simple yet instantly luxurious manner.
Layana is an adult-only resort and does not accept children under 18 years.
Fantastic spa—undoubtedly one of the best in the region. A host of leisure activities, including Muay Thai boxing classes.
Super beachfront on Long Beach (Phra-Ae Beach), with generally calm seas from December to April. Slightly higher swells in the summer months.
Although Koh Lanta does not have a lively nightlife scene, some simple local restaurants and bar alternatives are nearby. Whilst many of the better-known Thai resort areas, such as Phuket & Samui, have rapidly developed, Lanta remains proudly slow-paced. The main attraction will be the beaches, but take time to explore the island. It has a lush interior, waterfalls, and some quaint villages.
One of the most popular resorts in the entire region with incredible repeat business. Early booking is essential, especially in the months of November to April.
The team at Chic have regularly visited Koh Lanta / Layana and would be delighted to discuss your requirements in more detail.
In fact, David first visited Koh Lanta some 20 plus years ago and thinks it has hardly changed (apart from improved bridge connections). Unlike some other islands, which are almost unrecognisable.
We think a holiday in Layana combines well with a tour around Thailand. We would suggest The Capella or The Siam hotels in Bangkok and the 137 Pillars House or Anantara in Chiang Mai.
There are now direct flights from Chiang Mai to Krabi on Air Asia. Ask us for suggestions.
