Six Senses Con Dao… Romantic Island Escapism: A Perfect Retreat
Nestled on the serene, a private mile – long Dat Doc Beach with the majestic Lo Voi Mountains as a backdrop, Six Senses Con Dao offers a luxurious secluded retreat. This resort beautifully marries authenticity and local village traditions with contemporary comforts, providing an idyllic escape.
Con Dao is the largest island in an archipelago of 16, located off the southern tip of Vietnam. Just a 45-minute flight (150 miles) southwest from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), this lush tropical paradise is dotted with small fishing villages and has a modest resident population of just over 6,000. Once a notorious prison island during the French Colonial era, today it captivates visitors with its pristine beauty.
The island’s airport is a mere 10-minute drive from the resort.
Con Dao enjoys some of the most consistently high temperatures in the region, with most days exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. Expect bright, sunny days and the highest rainfall during the months of May to October, typically in short, heavy bursts.
Six Senses Con Dao features a selection of 50 freestanding villas, ranging from one to four bedrooms.
Each villa is spacious, starting at a generous 150 square meters, designed with an emphasis on seamless indoor and outdoor living. Some villas are duplex with elevated bedrooms.
All villas boast private swimming pools, offering options of Ocean View for added privacy or Beach Front for those who wish to step directly onto the sand.
Six Senses Con Dao is equipped with a variety of facilities to enhance your stay. These include:
- Main swimming pool
- Diverse dining options featuring different cuisines and settings
- Spa
- Gym
- Kids’ club
- For those looking to explore, bike hire and non-motorized water sports are available
- Yacht charters can also be arranged for excursions to the small neighboring islands
- Don’t miss the seasonal turtle hatching (from late May through December) – a truly unique experience
Six Senses Con Dao pairs wonderfully with a tour of Vietnam’s mainland. We recommend starting in Hanoi, then journeying south through Hue, Hoi An, and Saigon, culminating in at least four to five days of total relaxation at this stunning resort.
This destination is particularly appealing to adult couples and families with nature-curious children. For personalized travel tips and itinerary suggestions, feel free to ask us.

+ About Vietnam
Indochina is the collective name for Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, the former French territories in the region. Despite huge changes in the last decade, the French influence still remains in majestic colonial buildings, the art scene and of course the food. Vietnam is also the country that is developing fast with many new hotels and resorts, but it still remains a totally enthralling place to visit.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
