Contemporary comforts with Indochine influences
Anam Mui Ne has a modern contemporary exterior, combined with a pleasing Vietnamese-styled interior, giving you an instant sense of destination. The accommodations are grouped around courtyards and tropical gardens leading down to the beach.
It is located on Ham Tien Beach, one of the most popular in the area. The attractions of Mui Ne, with its numerous restaurants and small shops, are just a few strides away from your hotel entrance. The larger regional market town of Phan Thiet is about a 30-minute drive, and The Anam provides a daily shuttle.
The name Mui Ne has several meanings; “sheltered cove” seems the most appropriate.
Transfer from Saigon (HCM City) takes about 1.5 hours (maybe a little longer on weekends and public holidays). Transfer to Cam Ranh Airport is about 3 hours. Lien Khuong Airport at Dalat is about 2 hours away but has infrequent flights.
Anam Mui Ne has 127 rooms and suites. They are all spacious and nicely designed.
You have a choice of:
Deluxe Rooms, which are set further back closest to the entrance.
Premium Rooms overlooking the gardens.
Premium Ocean View, and closer to the beach, Grand Premium Rooms.
There are also several Suites with private pools and a Presidential Suite.
- Two swimming pools
- Several on-site restaurants and bars, and many more close by
- Spa
- Gym
- Attractive beachfront
Travelers to this area can explore the unique white and red sand dunes, known as the Vietnam Sahara, just a 50-minute drive inland. These dunes overlook two small lakes and offer an experience unknown to many Western travelers. Dune riding in Vietnam is not an everyday experience.
Additionally, the Fairy Stream offers a scenic walk through a shallow water stream, surrounded by a mix of white and red sand dunes.
The Whale Museum is a place of cultural significance, showcasing the local fishing heritage and reverence for whales. The ancient Cham Towers, also known as Po Sah Inu towers, provide a historical glimpse into the region’s past. See images within selection.
Anam Mui Ne is a rather eye-catching, attractive superior first-class hotel (official grading is Deluxe) that appeals to couples and families.
The beach here is rated as one of the best in the southern Vietnam region. It is perfectly located to enjoy the easy-going charm of Mui Ne.
A must-see highlight, The Anam Mui Ne transforms as the staff dons traditional Cham attire, setting the stage for a mesmerizing Sundowner Ceremony. Accompanied by the rhythmic beat of drums, the journey begins from the elegant lobby, weaving through lush grounds to reach the pristine white sand beach. This symbolic ritual pays homage to the ancient Champa kingdom, which once ruled over this area for centuries.
The best time to visit is generally from November through early April when the days are usually bright and sunny. Mid-April to October can see humidity, with the months of May/June being especially hot. Mui Ne is one of the driest beach destinations in Vietnam and enjoys year-round sunshine.
Mui Ne is well-known for kite-surfing and hosts many regional & international competitions. It is claimed that the conditions are good for windsurfing at least 230 days a year, with the spring months of April to June being the least favorable.
The Anam has a superb hotel just up the coast in Cam Ranh, about a 3-hour road transfer, or you can travel by local rail service, quite an interesting 4-hour authentic “once in a lifetime” experience.
The new Long Thanh International Airport, located between Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne, will be the main airport for international flights into Ho Chi Minh City and will considerably reduce the transfer time to Mui Ne. Completion is scheduled for 2026.
Both David & MH from Chic visited the hotel in June 2024 as part of extensive tour around Vietnam. They would be delighted to discuss in detail with you.

+ About Vietnam
Indochina is the collective name for Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, the former French territories in the region. Despite huge changes in the last decade, the French influence still remains in majestic colonial buildings, the art scene and of course the food. Vietnam is also the country that is developing fast with many new hotels and resorts, but it still remains a totally enthralling place to visit.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
