- Relax on Reduit Beach, one of the most popular beaches adjacent to Rodney Bay. A range of water sports are available, as well as beachfront restaurants.
- Rodney Bay is known as the focal leisure point on the island and has numerous restaurants & bars, international & regional shopping malls, individual boutiques and its famous marina . There are two golf courses within a 15-minute drive. The international airport is about 80 minutes scenic drive away in the south of the island, and the inter-island airport 25 minutes. From Rodney Bay Marina, there are ferry services to resort areas in the south as well as neighbouring Martinque.
- Pigeon Island National Park and the historic Fort Rodney are located just 10 minutes drive or water taxi away.
- St. Lucia is proud of its reputation for being one of the most naturally beautiful islands in the region. There are beaches, banana plantations, dense forests & waterfalls, high mountains, and ramshackle villages, usually with at least one prominent church. There are numerous on-land options, including river rafting and several zip-wire above the trees adventures—some within 30 minutes of Rodney Bay.
- Travel to the south of the island by car or speedboat. Hike the Gros Piton for breathtaking views of the Pitons, the Caribbean Sea, and the town of Soufriere
- The Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens showcases a diverse collection of tropical plants, flowers, and waterfalls – Guided tours are available. Just a short drive away from Rodney Bay.
- Visit the fishing village of Anse la Raye, known for its colourful houses and fresh seafood, or head to Marigot Bay, a picturesque harbour made famous by the original Doctor Dolittle film, surrounded by lush hills.
- Closer, about 10 minutes drive away, you have Gros Islet. Originally a small fishing village, it now has numerous rum shop bars, restaurants, and a lively jump-up street party every Friday—and sometimes more frequently if the mood is right!
- The island capital Castries is about 35 minutes drive away. Limited interest to most travellers, although a couple of small museums and an atmospheric main square with colourful Creole or colonial buildings. It is the main docking point for the larger cruise ships.

+ About Saint Lucia
The main resort area of Saint Lucia is in the north west of the island, around Rodney Bay and Cap Estate, 90 minutes from the international airport which is located on the south coast. Here you will see the greatest development of hotels and villas and good selection of restaurants, shopping malls and some quite lively bars. Probably the best golden sand beaches, particularly Reduit at Rodney Bay which is long and expansive but can get busy, especially when cruise ships visit. The transfer from the international airport is scenic as you initially travel along the wilder Atlantic coast before crossing through banana plantations and dense forest before emerging onto the Caribbean (west) coast.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
