Stars Gate Camp—chic luxury in the desert.
Stars Gate Camp is a new addition to the scene in Oman, opened early 2025. It combines authentic elegance, total comfort and a real sense of adventure.
Here you can enjoy the warmth of the desert with the brilliance of the night sky. It is wonderfully located at the top of dunes, with incredible views.
It is about a 2.5-hour drive inland from Muscat.
Stars Gate Camp has 15 tent-style rooms, all with en suite bathrooms.
Each is designed to capture the traditional Bedouin style, complemented with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and immersive desert experience. The tents are located around the camp in circular style.

From camel rides and desert hikes to stargazing and cultural tours, Stars Gate Camp offers a range of activities to connect guests with the natural beauty and heritage of Oman.
Stars Gate Camp is suggested for one or maybe 2 nights, as the experience is to be totally enjoyed. Children are accepted.
We suggest a combination with one of the Muscat hotels, such as Chedi , and maybe also up in the Jabal Akhdar Mountains, staying at the Alila Resort, a marvellous combination that will hold memories forever.
Note – We mention the warmth of the desert. This certainly applies during the day. At night temperatures do drop, so a jumper might be required – the warmth is generated by the hospitality and maybe the campfire.
