CHIC CHECK

Al Baleed Resort Salalah is a very welcome addition to our Oman selection.

The south of Oman is even less developed than the north and will appeal to the curious travellers looking for something new and fresh. We would suggest a stay of 4/5 nights, in combination with the highlights of the north. The beaches here are superb. Close to the hotel, you have several archaeological sites. Rub Al-Kali (empty quarter) can be visited on a day safari.

The most popular time for European visitors tends to be October through early May. During the summer months, it becomes hotter and more humid, although usually the period June to September – known as Kareef (Green season) – you also have light rain and drizzle and green shoots appear almost overnight, changing the arid scenery completely.

Anantara also has a superb hotel high up in the Jebel Akhtar mountains for its jaw-dropping views. 2 hours drive from Muscat.
