Capella Bangkok is Wonderful. Cool, contemporary chic, with hushed romantic tones. Great location for exploration.
Capella Bangkok is a relatively new addition to the Bangkok luxury hotel, opened in October 2020. Superb location on the atmospheric Chao Phraya river. The style is chic & serene, almost resort-style, in a quiet way.
The Taksin Sky train station is just a few minutes drive away plus there is a regular ferry shuttle. The aptly named IconSiam Shopping centre is just across the river. The main airports are about 45 minutes drive away.
Capella Bangkok has 101 suites and villas spread over 10 floors which is low-rise in Bangkok.
All are spacious, bright and subtly luxurious, river-facing with floor to ceiling panoramic windows and large balconies.
The Riverfront rooms are 61sqm with integrated living space and are located on the 2nd to 4th floors.
The Riverfront Premier rooms are similar but on the higher 5th to 10th floors.
The Courtyard Suites are in the corner of each floor, larger at 101sqm and have a separate living room.
The Verandahs are our personal favourites and offer 137sqm, have integrated indoor living space, outdoor terrace and patio and Jacuzzi plunge pool.
The River Suites have 91sqm and a separate living room.
In addition, there are six one-bedroom riverside villas, directly riverside with private garden, Jacuzzi plunge pool.

- The Living Room lounge library
*Capella Bangkok is under the same ownership as the neighbouring Four Seasons so shares a riverside promenade, plus several additional cuisine options.
Wonderful. The exterior from the road might seem a little nondescript but once inside it is cool contemporary chic, hushed romantic tones.
The accommodation is just superb with great views through the panoramic windows or from your balcony lounger. Convenient location to explore Bangkok with a ferry to the sky train and riverside activities including Icon (a must to visit even if you don’t shop) and Asiatique night market. It is on the high side of luxury price-wise, but you are purchasing something unique and rather special.
For those looking to travel around Thailand, we think the combination with 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai would be rather special. And in the southern resorts, The Sarojin in Khao Lak , Banyan Tree in Krabi or The Rosewood in Phuket would all make a truly memorable holiday of quality and contrast.

+ About Bangkok
Bangkok Thailand – The bustling capital city of Thailand and one of the main gateways for travel around the country and the region. Towering high rises dwarfing ornate and colourful temples. Traditional Klongs (waterways) alongside packed roads. Smartly dressed executives walking alongside saffron robed Buddhist monks, usually with both on their mobile phone. Flying time 12 hours from the UK.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
