Al Bustan Palace has a fantastic location, with tropical gardens and equally extensive soft sand beach front…
Set in extensive tropical gardens leading down to a long stretch of soft sand beach and with the dramatic Hajar Mountains as a backdrop.
The resort reopened in late autumn 2018 after an expensive total enhancement over the last 18 months. The old classic style remains, but with a much more contemporary feel. Virtually every part of the hotel has enjoyed the makeover, including the impressive lobby where they have even lowered the rather expensive chandeliers, the restaurants and the garden areas. The accommodation is now so much brighter and appears even more spacious.
New features include a ladies-only beach area, a separate children’s pool & family Aqua-park play area in the garden.
Located 45 minutes from the airport, and 10 minutes from Muscat town.
Al Bustan Palace has a total of 250 rooms.
All are positioned within the main building with either garden/mountain view or, at a supplement, sea view.
You have a choice of either traditional or more contemporary design. There is a selection of junior suites with integrated living space and are particularly suitable for an extra bed.
The ground floor Lagoon rooms have immediate pool access.
Main swimming pool and a couple of smaller options. It is the intention the main pool will be adults only from November but as with many things in this area, nothing is 100%!
Families will with younger children will be “encouraged” to use the new Aquapark area.
Several speciality restaurants in differing locations
Kids playground area & Family Aquapark
A selection of water sports can be arranged subject to weather conditions. Non-motorised are usually free of charge. There is a charge for motorised activities.
Dolphin and whale watching excursions also available.
Six Senses spa
Al Bustan Palace has a fantastic location, with mature tropical gardens and equally extensive soft sand beachfront.
The enhancements that took place in early 2018 are impressive, totally contemporary without detracting from the authentic opulent Arabian style.
There is plenty of space to move to quieter areas, even at busier times. The new aqua park, perfect for families, is worth noting. It adds family attractions without disturbing the relative calm of the general resort.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
