Almyra is proudly eclectic and highly individual.

Description & Location

Chilled chic, contemporary and deliberately quirky in places. Rather unusually, it appeals to both families and romantic adults, with some areas for grown-ups only and others where those over 12 years have to be accompanied by someone younger!

Almyra is located in the heart of Paphos (we prefer the Cypriot spelling of Pafos), on the seafront close to the old town and harbour promenade. There is a small cove rocky beach in front of the hotel with swimming from a pontoon jetty. Antasia Beach Club, Thanos Hotels Group’s latest addition, is located on a blue-flag sandy beach, around 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Almyra is 20 minutes drive from Paphos Airport, and 90 minutes from Larnaca.

In 2020, the hotel underwent a multimillion Euro renovation and enhancement, including all accommodation and public areas.

The Almyra is part of the Thanos Hotel Group, which includes the neighbouring Annabelle and the Anassa.

CHIC CHECK

The huge renovation investment over the last few years will be pleasantly noticed by repeat guests, whilst new arrivals will be pleased with the contemporary fresh style.

It is very well priced given the quality, facilities and location. Almyra promotes itself as luxury, which is the official Cyprus grading. However, we prefer to say very good superior first-class, leaving you pleasantly surprised.

Those with sensitive ears staying in the garden-facing rooms might hear some nightlife noise from the close-by bars if they sit outside or sleep with doors open.

The most popular time to visit Cyprus tends to be April to October.  It is one of the furthest East of the Mediterranean islands, so tends to get warmer earlier and hold the heat later than the islands to the west. July to Mid-September are the peak demand months with both temperatures and rates at their highest. November to March tends to be good for those who wish to escape the extremes of a Northern European winter, so maybe more spa, cuisine, and golf-focused. Generally, blue skies and jumper weather rather than sunbathing.
