Staying at The Siam Bangkok will be a uniquely luxurious experience. Quirky art deco blending seamlessly with gentle Thai elegance…
The Siam Bangkok is an absolutely stunning urban luxury hotel, with the emphasis on classic simplicity and total individuality. The design style combines contemporary luxury with Thai traditions, original artefacts, vintage posters and some delightfully quirky touches.
Chao Pyhra riverfront location in the quieter Royal Dusit District, close to the Krungthonburi Bridge. Regular complimentary river shuttle to Sathorn pier, an interesting 25-minute “cruise“ and from there you can take a sky-train to all of the major shopping areas. The airport is about 60 minutes drive.
The Siam Bangkok has a selection of 39 suites. Each is individually designed with super size king beds and lofty ceilings.
In the Residence you have the Siam and Mae Nam suites, overlooking the garden courtyard. Each is spacious starting at 80 sqm, beautifully designed with some on the higher floors have river views. Further forward you have the elegant and even larger Courtyard and River View low rise suites, with enclosed garden and private plunge pools. And then the very special teak house Connie’s Cottage.
Infinity river side swimming pool
library with screening room
Curio shop and fascinating art gallery
Gym with Muay Thai training and boxing ring
Chon signature Thai restaurant and the dapper Deco Bar & Bistro riverside bar
Staying with Siam Bangkok will be a unique experience. It captures the romance of yesteryear and you could almost expect Somerset Maughan or Noel Coward to be holding court at the bar. Yet at the same time, you have all of the contemporary comforts you could wish for, with incredible attention to the smallest detail.
For some, it might appear to be a little out of the way of the usual tourist circuit of hotels (20 minutes), but for others that is all part of the attraction, and the location is one of the best for visiting the Grand Palace & Wat Po temple. It is one of the most expensive addresses in town, totally justified in our view, as what you are purchasing is something very unique and rather priceless.
If you are looking to combine your stay at The Siam with other points in Thailand, we think the 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai works rather well. And in the southern beach resorts, Amanpuri or Kata Rocks in Phuket, Sarojin in Khao Lak, or Soneva Kiri on Koh Kood.
