Like ‘The Pen’ in Hong Kong, Raffles Singapore has a long history going back to 1887 and must be one of the most famous hotels in the world. Centrally located in the atmospheric former colonial district, you are just minutes away from Orchard Road, Marina Square, China Town and Little India. It is expensive quite intentionally but that just seems to add to its unique style . Staying here will be a real taking point , something totally individual with incredible personalised attention .

Raffles Singapore is iconic, wonderfully historic and a must see on any visit to Singapore. So even if you are not staying, plan to spend an hour at least, maybe enjoying a cocktail in the atmospheric bars.
Just on this, Raffles is one of the most visited “sites” in the city, so you will see day tourists anxious to share your enjoyment for a few minutes. However, there are many areas that are reserved for resident guests only.
The hotel was closed for expensive enhancement during part of 2018/19 . It reopened in August 2019 , with many areas totally renovated yet still retaining all of the traditional quality and charm .
