Park Hyatt St. Kitts offers contemporary resort comforts and facilities on a wonderfully historic island

Description & Location

Park Hyatt St. Kitts is a new deluxe hotel opened in the autumn of 2017. A contemporary design theme, yet at the same time retaining some historic sugar mill features.

Park Hyatt St. Kitts is located on the southern peninsula of the island at Banana Bay, close to the newly developed Christophe Marina. The airport and the attractive island capital of Basseterre are 25 minutes drive.

St Kitts (its official name is Saint Christopher) is a great island to discover. It was Britain’s first settlement in the Caribbean way back in 1623, four years ahead of Barbados. It then switched between British and French control for over 150 years, before total Rule by Britain in 1783. It is nicely tropical, with some misty mountain peaks and sugar cane fields. Brimstone Hill Fortress, known as the Gibraltar of the Caribbean is a must-see. The island capital Basseterre is one of the most pleasant places to visit in the entire region with its French Creole & British Colonial buildings. Also, you can easily visit the sister island of Nevis, just 20 minutes by boat away.

CHIC CHECK

Park Hyatt St Kitts is stylish and rather refined with an attractive beachfront. Contemporary design but with an acknowledgement to the history of the island.

Well located to discover St Kitts and also easy access to Nevis, just 3 miles across “The Narrows” water channel.

The most in-demand months tend to be November to April, when the days are usually bright and sunny, and a perfect respite from the harsh North American or European winters. In the months May to October, you see increased humidity and more rainfall, usually in short sharp showers. August to October is the so-called hurricane season, rather dramatic phrase as they do not usually hit the same islands annually, but tropical storms should be anticipated. September seems to be the main calling month!
