Dare to be different with The Warehouse Hotel. Perfect for the individualist looking to shun corporate ubiquity.
The Warehouse Hotel is an outstanding and truly boutique hotel. The building started life in 1895 as a godown, taken from the Malay word of Gudang – or warehouse. It was used to store many of the spices and silks associated with trade on the Malacca Straits and Singapore river. Over the years the building had many owners and purposes, some on the cusp of legality!
In 2017 it was opened as a hotel. Beautifully renovated yet retaining much of the history and sense of time. Particularly evident in the sleek spacious lobby, where you have machinery inspired lighting dangling from black iron beams.
The Warehouse Hotel is located on Havelock Road, at the junction with Robertson Quay bridge with the Singapore river adjacent.
The numerous shopping malls on Orchard Road are 5 minutes by taxi. The restaurants of Robertson Quay are an easy stroll, or you can walk alongside the river to Clarke / Boat Quays for more options. There you will also find the Fort Canning historical area & park as well as metro station.
Transfer time from the airport about 30 minutes.
The Warehouse Hotel has 37 rooms and Suites. All are designed in a contemporary style with, of course, en-suite facilities.
There are four different room types although, following the eclectic theme of the hotel, each can vary slightly in size and shape. In addition there are two themes of speciality suites .
You have a choice of:
The Sanctuary Rooms are a minimum of 28 sqm and located on the lower floor, with no window. Perfectly comfortable, but probably best suited to a shorter stay of one or two nights.
The Warehouse Loft are quaintly larger at 32sqm, located on the upper floor and have a window or skylight.
The River View Rooms and River View Loft Rooms are larger at 34sqm, with window and /or skylight.
In addition, you have Two Speciality Suites.
Bar and The Den library themed area.
Rooftop infinity clear glass roof top swimming pool with sundeck overlooking the river.
Complimentary Bicycle hire.
Attractive restaurant specialising in local classic cuisine.
There are many more dining options in the immediate area at Robertson Quay.
The Warehouse Hotel is a real gem of a discovery. It is simple, uncluttered, and will be instantly attractive to those who prefer true individuality over the ubiquity of the many corporate themed hotels found in the city.
The whitewashed exterior, the low rise two storey building and the riverside location just add to the appeal. You can walk to Clarke Quay in 10 minutes. The Fort Canning historic area and park is 12 minutes away. Here you will find the MRT subway train link for easy access to China Town or Marina Bay. The Boat Quay area in 15 minutes.
Children are accepted, but there are no specific facilities for them. The main attraction will be for adult travellers looking to discover something fresh and new.
The Warehouse Hotel is a member of the Design Hotel collection.

+ About Singapore
Singapore offers a fantastic selection of restaurants and night-life, as well as parks, museums, and on Sentosa Island, beaches.
The skyline is maybe more North American at first glance but, like Hong Kong, go below the obvious and it has some traditional and busy little street markets that offer a perfect contrast to the numerous shopping malls. In our view, Singapore is the very best introduction to the region for the first-time Asia traveller. Plan to spend at least 2 clear days as there is so much to see.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
