Clients just love the elegant simplicity, the easy-going sense of style, the superb facilities and the excellent service. Plus the beach is one of the best on the island.
The Residence Mauritius is one of the most popular deluxe resorts in the Indian Ocean, located on the east coast near the village of Belle Mare, 55 minutes drive from the airport. Positioned on an extensive soft sand beach. We have highlighted the appeal to families but it is equally popular with romantic couples.
The Residence Mauritius has a selection of 163 deluxe rooms and suites.
All are decorated in a classic colonial French style, with soft white and beige fabrics. All have balconies and terraces and each has butler service.
You have a choice of:
Garden Courtyard View or Ocean View Rooms with angled view of the sea from the balcony.
The Oceanfront Rooms directly face the sea.
You also have a selection of Junior Suites with integrated living areas, usually set back in the courtyard and majestic Grand Colonial One-bedroom Oceanfront Suites. Several of the rooms are interconnecting, but early booking is essential.
- Choice of restaurant and location, with The Plantation particularly popular with both in house guests and outside visitors so advance booking is desirable, especially for dinner
- Superb and recently extensively enhanced Carita Spa
- Regular low key entertainment, if you want something livelier just go down the beach to Beau Rivage
- Tennis
- Free water sports, including skiing
- Deep-sea fishing and diving can be arranged at extra cost
Despite constant competition, The Residence Mauritius probably has some of the highest repeat business in the region (Repeat guest benefits apply). Clients just love the elegant simplicity, the easy-going sense of style, the superb facilities and the excellent service. Plus the beach is one of the best on the island.
Perfect for long walks or casual jogging. Usually particularly good November to April.
In addition to the breakfast and half-board options, the Residence has an All-Inclusive plan.

+ About Mauritius
Mauritius is a large sugar island, with towering peaks and fringed by golden sand beaches. A wonderful melting pot of cultures and influences, with Indian, Africans, Chinese and Europeans all blending their skills to present something uniquely Mauritian.
The capital Port Louis is a lively city with some excellent shopping. For something very different, go to the horse racing, a real fun day, with a weekly meeting each Saturday from May through to November.
Flying time from UK is approximately 12 hours.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
