St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort has excellent facilities and is instantly attractive, offering clean classic luxury, with an immediate WOW! factor…
The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort is an instantly impressive deluxe hotel. Located on a natural island and linked to the main island by a causeway bridge, on a fine stretch of soft white sand beach. Abu Dhabi city, with its towering high-rise buildings, boutique shops and busy markets, is 15 minutes drive away. The airport 25 minutes. Yas Island, home to the iconic Grand Prix circuit, Ferrari World entertainment centre and Yas water park is 15 minutes drive away
Dubai is 80 minutes straight drive on the long desert highway, no eagles – just falcons!
See Chic Check below regarding St Regis city centre hotel option.
St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort has 377 rooms and suites.
You have a choice of:
Garden Courtyard or spacious Seaview Rooms.
St Regis Jr Suites with an integrated living area, and One Bedroom Ocean Suites.
All combine a Mediterranean and Arabic design theme, with bright vibrant colours. All elevated rooms have a balcony, whilst those on the ground floor and sea-facing have patio step-down access to the garden.
Several themed restaurants in differing locations, plus options in the courtyard just across the entrance approach.
Super extensive beach and water quality. Championship Golf Course next door.
Shuttle to the city – about 15 minutes drive
There is a turtle conservation area close by, so disruptive water sports are not generally encouraged. These can be arranged at an independent sport club, about 10 minutes drive away
The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort has excellent facilities and is instantly attractive, offering clean classic luxury, with an immediate WOW! factor.
St Regis has a superb location at one end of a beach stretching 7 miles and easy access to Abu Dhabi city. In addition to the hotel facilities, opposite the main entrance, you have a selection of private residential apartments and villas. Within this area, you will find a further selection of cafe style restaurants and a couple of retail shops.
Abu Dhabi is now developing fast, but in a much more controlled orderly manner than Dubai experienced a few years back. However, you should expect to see signs of building throughout the city and resort areas. Saadiyat is one of the prime beach areas in the entire region, and you now have several hotels along the extensive beach, with probably more to come. You will see signs of some resort development to your left (as you look out to sea) going towards the Louve, but the inconvenience is minimal if any.
Abu Dhabi offers a similarity to Dubai, in that it has high-rise iconic buildings, but it has a much more deliberately conservative approach to tourism. Planned, considered, and rather regulated. It is the financial powerhouse of the region, so expect opulence, but in a more subtle manner.
As such, a twin-centre with Dubai offers a contrasting attraction and can easily be arranged. For something very different, why not consider combining Abu Dhabi with the much more traditional and authentic Oman. Ask us for suggestions.
If you are looking for a luxurious desert experience, we particularly suggest Anantara’s Qasr Al Sarab resort. Located a 2-hour drive into the desert, mostly on tarmac roads, before turning into the dunes. 206 rooms and suites, a swimming pool and kids club, plus a host of exciting adventures. Full resort details here.
Note – There is also an equally impressive St. Regis Abu Dhabi Hotel – A luxurious high rise property located in the city centre. Ask us for details.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
