First class contemporary style with bright Thai influences
Eden Beach Khao Lak Resort is set within attractive tropical gardens leading down to a rather pleasant, secluded sandy beach. Nicely designed with whitewashed walls and thatched roofs.
Eden has good all-round appeal and facilities for couples and families.
It is located in the southern part of Khao Lak, so just a one-hour scenic drive from Phuket International Airport.
The village of Khao Lak is about a 10-minute drive away, and the resort has a shuttle several times daily. Khao Lak has a very different appeal to Phuket and still has a small village authentic style, with some shopping and dining options, especially in the winter season.
Typically, this part of Thailand is generally at its best weather-wise from November to early May, when the days are usually bright and sunny with limited rain. Mid-May to October tends to be “red flag” season—the rates drop, but the waves get higher, with more chance of rain, albeit in heavy showers. Actually, this area is popular with experienced surfers in the May/June months.
Eden Beach Khao Lak Resort has 208 guest rooms starting at 30 sqm.
Most are set within the three main buildings, 3-story clusters set back in the garden.
You have a choice of:
- Superior Rooms (suitable for 2 persons)
- Larger Deluxe Rooms (2 persons or with child)
- Even larger Tropical Garden View Rooms which are attractive both in size and location, (2 persons and up to 2 children) Some have pool access
- In addition, a few rather prestigious Eden Suites, ideal for families with their integrated living space – Limited availability, plus one 2-bedroom suite.
You can easily walk from most rooms to the beach in about 4 minutes, strolling through the gardens.
- Main swimming pool plus a couple of linked smaller options
- Dining options in both cuisine and locations
- Spa
- Gym
- Kids’ playroom
- On-site Thai boxing classes
- Yoga on group basis (private lessons available at supplement)
- A selection of non-motorised water sports (weather depending)
- Optional local tours can be arranged to ethical elephant camps, waterfalls, and during the winter months, cruises to the offshore Surin and Similan Islands
With over 200 rooms, Eden Beach Khao Lak Resort is not boutique, but the team are highly personalised and attentive.
Good on-site facilities, so most of your time can be spent at the resort.
As mentioned, Khao Lak is a very different option from Phuket, particularly good for families. Twin-centre combinations with Phuket are easy to arrange for those requiring nightlife, varied dining options and shopping, and then move to Khao Lak for total relaxation and tranquillity.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May-June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East, we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
