Daios Cove is totally luxurious. Without a doubt, one of the most acclaimed resorts in the region. Romantic, yet at the same family-friendly.
Daios Cove is an ultra-contemporary luxury resort, seamlessly blending modern architecture with the raw beauty of its Mediterranean setting.
From the moment you arrive, Daios Cove exudes a sense of understated elegance and tranquillity. Perfectly perched on the northeastern coast of Crete overlooking a private cove. A wonderful blend of modern luxury, natural beauty, and authentic Cretan charm.
It is wonderfully innovative, both in the resort-style and with the seemingly constant subtle enhancements year on year, so it always seems fresh and inviting.
5 miles from the lively and attractive resort of Aghios Nikolaos, a picturesque coastal area known for its charming harbour, boutique shops, and vibrant culture.
One hour’s transfer from Heraklion Airport.
Daios Cove holds 290 rooms, suites and villas dotted across the hillside, most with superb views.
The design style is bright and modern, in an elegant minimalist manner that still encompasses traditional Cretan touches.
You have a choice of:
Deluxe Rooms – All Deluxe rooms have a sea view, some with plunge pool
Junior Suites with an integrated living area and plunge pool.
One and Two Bedroom Suites with a separate living room, mostly with their own swimming pool.
The Villas offer the most luxurious accommodation, with One, Two and Three bedrooms, and larger private swimming pools.
Please note that the private-use pools throughout the resort do not have depth markings, so you do need to consider your capability levels, and be especially vigilant with small children.
- The resort’s secluded beach is a highlight, with crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and sun loungers
- A stunning saltwater infinity pool overlooks the cove
- Low key evening entertainment
- Several dining options, each with its own unique atmosphere
- Highly acclaimed luxurious spa (adults only), offering personalized treatments, a hydrotherapy pool, sauna
- Fitness center and Yoga
- Tennis courts
- Water Sports Centre
- Diving
- There is an entertainment room for the younger ones
- For the older children, there will be a full range of supervised sporting activities (depending on the season and occupancy)
- A funicular lift will provide easy access to most of the public areas, although as the grounds are extensive, you do need to be reasonably mobile, as you do have steps linking the facilities
- Cultural Experiences: Learn about Crete’s rich history with cooking classes, wine tastings, or guided tours to local sites such as the Palace of Knossos and the island of Spinalonga
- The resort can arrange excursions to nearby attractions, including the charming town of Agios Nikolaos, the traditional village of Kritsa, or the stunning beaches of Elounda
Residence Club – All Villa and Suite guests become members of the Residents Club, which gives access to dine-around options with a bottle of wine for lunch & dinner, ice cream and soft/fruit drinks for children, 24-hour room service for main meals, with the mini bar stocked daily.
Daios Cove is a totally modern resort, with an interesting design style that has taken Northern European concepts and rather skilfully blended them with the use of local stone and fabrics.
Whether you’re lounging by the infinity pool, exploring the stylish resort, or indulging in world-class spa treatments, every moment at Daios Cove feels thoughtfully curated.
The expansive cove beach has typically Cretan coarse sand leading into a sea of incredible colour contrasts, with good swimming and snorkelling. Motorised sports are arranged at the rim of the bay.
Although the resort does attract families, particularly at school holidays, some of the areas are designed solely for adult romance.
Car Hire – To add to your flexibility, we do suggest car hire. Ideally, this should be booked in advance, especially in the peak season.

+ About Greece
Greece is truly a fantastic country, with superb resorts, a combination of contemporary styles and classic designs. History of course, with Athens well worth two or three days, if your time permits. Delightful beaches and traditional villages. And without doubt some of the most hospitable and friendly people.
Most of the resort hotels close at the end of October and start reducing facilities from mid October onwards, as occupancy decreases. Equally in May, hotel facilities are opened gradually, depending on occupancy, usually fully operational by mid June.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers. Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May - June level and about 50% more in Asia. For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per-person, per-night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
