Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa has a real sense of style and ambience, yet with all of the total resort facilities just a buggy shuttle away.
7 nights from £2,300 pp | Includes air travel and daily breakfast
Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa is the ultra-luxurious option within the total Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort, which includes the Al Bandar and Al Waha hotels. It is exclusively located on a point on the northern end of the resort, with suitably commanding views over the resort area.
The location is 55 minutes drive from Muscat airport, passing through the old and new town areas.
Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa has 180 deluxe rooms and suites.
All are lavishly decorated with contemporary comforts and Arabic touches.
You can choose from:
Deluxe Rooms – Garden or Terrace facing, with 48 sqm of total living space
Deluxe Rooms Sea View – As above, but closer to the beach fronts
One Bedroom Suites – With over 80sqm of total living space including the separate living room. Can have either garden or sea view
Speciality Suites – Ornate, with Arabic themes throughout
For Al Husn guests only – swimming pool, terrace courtyard and bar, private “Algarve“ style beach.
Exclusive meet and greet at Muscat Airport and luxurious transfer to & from the hotel
Al Husn Spa and fitness area.
The restaurants within the hotel are also open to guests from the Al Bandar / Al Waha but reservation preference is given to Al Husn residents. Generally no children under 16 years.
Plus of course, all of the facilities of the total resort are available to you including the main swimming pools, the lazy river tube rides, Chi spa and sports centre, the main beach and water sports, with many additional options including glass-bottom kayaks, various sailing options, windsurfing, water and jet ski, and hydro jet pack. All will be at optional extra cost and are dependent on weather conditions).
An extensive selection of restaurant locations and cuisine styles.
Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa was always the most luxurious option.
It has now become even more exclusive. Al Husn is proud of its hushed tones and has a real sense of style and ambience… yet with all of the total resort facilities just a buggy shuttle away. For those that would like to know, Al Husn means Castle in Arabic.
Note: Al Husn is essentially couples focused.Children under 12 years are not generally accepted at Al Husn and are strictly on request and subject to reconfirmation from the hotel.
In this part of the world, such things are rarely 100%! Even if accepted, most areas are outbounds for children up to 16 years, such as restaurants, bars, pools and the private beach – so this has to be carefully considered.
Al Bandar and Al Waha are much more family-focused and relaxed, both for parents and children and would be our suggestions.

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers.
Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding air fare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.
Please refer to Travel Advice on our home page or look at www.fco.gov.uk as the Foreign Office may have issued specific destination information on safety and terrorism.
