For a trial period of six months from 01 May through to 31 October 2019, UK tourists will receive visa-free access for holidays in Sri Lanka.

It is essential passports have a minimum validity of six months from your date of departure from Sri Lanka. The visa-free access will be valid for stays up to 30 days.
In addition to the UK, citizens from the 27 other EU countries, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea will also be eligible for a free visa upon arrival at Sri Lanka’s Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. Quoted from this article.
