Following my comments recently about how I feel Majorca is misunderstood, I think these images show the diversity of the island.
I know bad news sells, and dramatic negative images are popular, and there is no doubting there are resorts here which are certainly an acquired taste. However, as these pictures show, the island is wonderfully diverse scenically, and there are many really upscale areas. In fact most of the island is very family focused and a good drink is measured by the quality of the wine, not how much was consumed!
Travelled across the island on a vintage 1912 train, slow but scenic, to Soller on the north coast. Would make a good twin centre idea with Palma.
